Permission Settings Explained

There are a number of settings you can give your team members access to, in order to give your team members highly customized access to your Accredible account.

To make sure that you understand what you and your team will be able to do with various permission settings, refer to the list below:

Certificate Design Templates - A team member with access to certificate design templates will be able to create new certificate designs, modify existing certificate designs, or delete existing certificate designs.

Remember: Many groups might be using the same design, so allowing one of your team members to change the certificate designs might affect the appearance of many groups' certificates.

Email Settings - A team member with access to the organization's email settings will be able to create, modify, and delete existing email designs, as well as change the default name and email that appears on emails to your credential recipients.

Attribute Management - A team member with access to attributes will be able to create, modify, or delete your credential attributes.

Remember: If you are using a custom attribute, it may be used in multiple certificate design or email templates, so allowing one of your team members to change attributes might affect the appearance of other items.

Analytics - A team member with access to analytics will be able to view records of which recipients have engaged with their credentials and download this data.

Billing Information - A team member with access to attributes will be able to change your credit card information (if stored) and change your plan details.

Remember: Changes made here could affect the amount you owe to Accredible.

Recipient Directory - A team member with access to the recipient directory settings will be able to turn the directory's visibility on or off, and change the appearance settings.

Organization Settings - A team member with access to the organization settings will be able to change details about your organization's account and the way credentials are issued.

Remember: Changes made here could affect the appearance and delivery of credentials - what displays for your organization name, whether or not recipients are emailed their credential, default privacy setting for credentials, etc.

Manage Team Members - A team member with access to 'manage team members' will be able to set every other team members' permissions as well as delete or invite new team members.

Remember: Changes made here affect who is able to access your Accredible organization, so team members with this access are effectively able to control access to your organization.

Remember: Since Team Permissions are a subset of the organization settings, you can't allow access to manage team members without allowing access to organization settings.

API Details - A team member with access to API details will be able to retrieve your unique API key. With this information, they will be able to override information on your existing credentials, create new credentials and groups, or delete existing credentials and groups.

Remember: Team members with this access are effectively able to control all groups and credentials - provided they use the API key.

Remember: Since API details are a subset of the organization settings, you can't allow access to to the API details without allowing access to organization settings.
