How do I add evidence to a certificate?

Evidence can be added easily using our API but you may also add evidence when uploading a spreadsheet of certificates.

The normal spreadsheet columns are Student Name, Student Email and Issue Date.

You're able to add more columns to create evidence on each certificate. These fields are Evidence Description and Evidence URL. Optionally you can add to these Evidence Category, Evidence Insight, Evidence Hidden. Each of these can be numbered if you're adding more then one evidence item leaving you with Evidence Description 1, Evidence URL 1, Evidence Description 2, Evidence URL 2, etc.

Below is a table showing each field and what it does on the spreadsheet upload:

Name Required? Description
Student Name Yes The name of the recipient.
Student Email Yes The email address of the recipient.
Issue Date No The date of certificate issuance. Defaults to today's date if not entered.
Evidence Description Only if Evidence URL present The description to display with the evidence item.
Evidence URL Only if Evidence Description present The URL of the file, image, video or website that constitutes the evidence item.
Evidence Category No Should be one of: file, url, video - this tells us more about the item and allows us to better preview it. For example with a video we will create an inline player. The default is URL.
Evidence Insight No By default we create relevant insights displayed below the preview image which help to describe the item. This allows you to customize the text displayed there.
Evidence Hidden No This allows you to hide this evidence item for a particular certificate. For example you may not want to show an item that reflects poorly on a particular student.
Grade No Display a visual representation of the student grade. This must be a whole number between 0 and 100 representing the percentage score.
Grade Insight No By default we create relevant insights displayed below the preview image which help to describe the item. This allows you to customize the text displayed there.
Hide Grade Evidence No This allows you to hide this evidence item for a particular certificate. For example you may not want to show a grade that reflects poorly on a particular student.
Reference No Reference text from an individual that can comment upon the achievement.
Referee Name Only if Reference present The name of the individual who is providing the reference.
Referee Url No A link to a profile of the referee. This would typically be a link to their LinkedIn profile.

We've attached a CSV and Excel example so that you can see this in action.
