Opening the Badge Builder Studio

First of all, click on 'Certificate Designs' at the top of your Accredible Dashboard. Here is where you can see all of your certificate designs.

Next, click on the 'Create Badge Design' button at the top right-hand corner of the page. This will open the Badge Builder Studio on a new page.

Designing Your Badge

In the Badge Studio you have three tabs in the lefthand sidebar menu. Using these tabs you can drop in the pre-made backgrounds, icons and ribbons in order to build-up a badge design of your choosing.

On the lefthand side of the toolbar you can use '+Text' in order to add text boxes to your design. When a text box is selected the toolbar will expand to give you all the options for formatting the text.

note: You don't need to try and cram in loads of text onto your badge. The beauty of digital badges is that wherever they are displayed, a viewer can click on the badge and be taken to that badge's credential view webpage, which can contain all of the information you would like to convey about the recipient, the achievement and you as the issuer.

To add in your company's logo or any other custom image, click on the '+Image' button on the toolbar and upload an image file you would like to use. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the image file straight into the Badge Builder to upload it.

Downloading Your Badge Design

When you are happy with the badge design you have created you will need to download it onto your computer as a PNG file. Do this by clicking on the 'Download Badge PNG' button in the top righthand corner of the Badge Builder Studio. A pop-up box will appear prompting you to enter your email address, after which you can click 'Download Now' and your brilliant badge design will be sent to your email inbox to be saved to your computer.

Using Your Own Image as a Design

If you have an image that you would like to use instead of creating a badge in our Badge Builder Studio, here are the specifications in order for it to work as a Digital Open Badge:

  • The file must be a PNG
  • The image must be square
  • The image must be at least 256 x 256 pixels in size
