How Can I Manually Expire Credentials?

There are multiple different methods for expiring credentials, both automatically and manually.

The 'Set Expiry Date' Button

The Set Expiry Date button is found on the Credential List section of your dashboard and can be used to expire or change the expiration date for individual or multiple credentials within your list. This option is good to use if you are changing the expiry dates for:

  • Credentials from different groups
  • A handful of credentials
  • Credentials that all need to have the same expiry date
  1. Navigate to your Credential List by clicking on the 'Credentials' tab at the top of your dashboard
  2. Select the credentials you wish to expire/change the expiry date for
  3. Click the 'Set Expiry Date' button
  4. Select an expiry option

    • Never - Allows you to remove any existing expiry dates onto the selected credentials. If any credentials are currently expired, this will reinstate them as active credentials. Please be aware that if you are reinstating credentials issued prior to your current billing year, this may cost credits.
    • Immediately - The selected credentials expiry dates will be changed to today's date, and the credentials will become expired straight away.
    • A Later Date - Change the expiry date of the selected credentials to a new date.
  5. Click 'Set Expiry Date'

The Update via Spreadsheet Method

You can upload a spreadsheet of new expiry dates if you need to bulk-change the expiry date for a large number of credentials. This option is good to use if you are changing the expiry dates for:

  • Credentials that all belong to the same group
  • Credentials that all require different expiry dates

Update Individual Credential Data

You can change individual credential data by accessing the record from the Credential List. This option is good to use if you are changing the expiry dates for one or two credentials.
