How Do I Add Additional Security to My Credentials Using the Blockchain?

Accredible gives you the option to add an encrypted version of your credentials to a Blockchain for added security. Here's how to do it.

For more information on Blockchain credentials, check out our article here: What are Blockchain Credentials?

Enable Credential Recording to the Blockchain

  1. Go to 'Groups' at the top of the Accredible Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the group you would like to add to the Blockchain and click on 'Group Settings.'
  3. In the left-hand sidebar menu, click on 'Blockchain Security.'
  4. Check the box 'Record credentials to the Blockchain,' then click 'Save.'

IMPORTANT NOTES:

It can take up to 48 hours for a Credential to be added to the Blockchain. This won't stop recipients from using their credentials - just from validating the Blockchain record.

You can make it easier for your recipients to validate the Blockchain record by including the [credential.encoded_id] attribute on your certificate & badge designs.

Can I R
ecord an Existing Group of Credentials to the Blockchain?

Yes! Just follow the process above, and we'll add a snapshot of the credential as it is today to the Blockchain so it can be verified.
