Accredible gives you the option to add an encrypted version of your credentials to a Blockchain for added security. Here's how to do it.
For more information on Blockchain credentials, check out our article here: What are Blockchain Credentials?
Enable Credential Recording to the Blockchain
- Go to 'Groups' at the top of the Accredible Dashboard.
- Navigate to the group you would like to add to the Blockchain and click on 'Group Settings.'
- In the left-hand sidebar menu, click on 'Blockchain Security.'
- Check the box 'Record credentials to the Blockchain,' then click 'Save.'
It can take up to 48 hours for a Credential to be added to the Blockchain. This won't stop recipients from using their credentials - just from validating the Blockchain record.
You can make it easier for your recipients to validate the Blockchain record by including the [credential.encoded_id] attribute on your certificate & badge designs.
Can I Record an Existing Group of Credentials to the Blockchain?
Yes! Just follow the process above, and we'll add a snapshot of the credential as it is today to the Blockchain so it can be verified.
