How Do I Set Up an Integration with Salesforce and Accredible?

If you have a Salesforce account, here is how to set up an integration with Accredible in order to automatically create credentials using Salesforce triggers.

What Does the Integration Do?

Our integration will allow you to:

• Set up credential auto-issuance using our Record-Triggered Flow Template
• Specify which triggers to use for issuance.

• Map any Salesforce record fields into the appropriate Accredible attributes:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Expiration Date

  • Group ID

  • Custom attributes

  • Recipient ID

Installation Requirements

To set up the Salesforce integration, you need to have:

• A Salesforce admin account.
• Access to Salesforce Trailblazer
• An Accredible account with access to API & Integrations
  (must be on production; sandbox Accredible accounts are not currently compatible)

Installing the Package

On Salesforce:

1. Login to your Salesforce Admin account
2. Go here to download the integration
3. Click the 'Get It Now' button
   
4. If prompted, log into Trailblazer:
   
   
   
5. Select the Production Environment you want to connect. Then Click 'Install in Production'
6. Confirm Accredible's installation to Salesforce by checking 'I have read and agree to the terms and conditions.' then click 'Confirm and Install'
7. You will be directed to log in to your Salesforce admin account to continue the installation. 
8. Select 'Install for Admins Only' then click 'Install'
   
   
9. Approve Accredible's Access to Salesforce by checking the 'Yes, grant access to these third-party sites' and then click Continue.

On Accredible:

1. Navigate to the Salesforce Integration page on your Accredible account.
   (The Accredible account being used must be on production; sandbox Accredible accounts are not currently compatible)
   
   
2. Copy the API on the right-hand side of the page.

On Salesforce:

1. Go to Salesforce Setup and use the Quick Finder to Search 'Visualforce Pages' and find the  “AccredibleChangeAPIKey“ item. → click the double boxes with an arrow (preview in a new window) icon next to “Security.”
2. Click 'Edit Settings'
3. Enter your API key and select the server region of your Accredible account. Unless you have specifically set up an EU Accredible account with us, your server will be the US server. 
   
4. Click 'Save Settings'.
