What are Earning Criteria?
Earners of credentials must meet issuer-defined criteria to provide evidence of mastery for a given subject area. Accredible’s Earning Criteria help issuers to define standards related to the issued credential while simultaneously showcasing the breadth and depth of each recipient’s accomplishment.
How do I add Earning Criteria to a credential?
You can optionally add Earning Criteria to each group.
- Go to Groups in the top menu
- Click Info & Appearance
- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- Select Add an Earning Criteria +
You can use four things to describe each criterion:
Type: There are eleven criteria types. Issuers may use and define these types as they wish. Type is a required field.
Description: Briefly describe the criteria. Examples include a passing grade %, totally professional service hours, or webinar completion.
Link: You may optionally include a link related to the description.
Required: Check the box to indicate if the criterion is required to earn the credential.
There is no limit to the number of criteria you add. Accredible recommends that you keep the description brief to optimize readability.
What will recipients see?
When you add Earning Criteria, it will automatically appear on each recipient’s credential. It will display the type and description of each criterion with or without a link and will appear under a required or optional heading. If all earning criteria are required, there will be no Required or Optional headings.
How can new learners see credential Earning Critiera?
When you publish Credentials, not only will it appear on the recipient’s credential pages but also your issuer public credential page. It will display the type and description of each criterion with or without a link and will appear under a required or optional heading. If all earning criteria are required, there will be no Required or Optional headings.
