Logic Rollback - February 3, 2022

Recipient Engagement Page: Owner shared credential > Renamed as "Unique credentials shared by anyone"

1) What changes were made in November 2021?

  • An event would only be counted if the user who shares the credential was the credential lower.

2) Why was the logic changed in November 2021?

  • This change was made to better capture the title of the data point “Owner shared credential”.

3) What were the repercussions of this change?

  • This decreased the numbers that you were seeing in your account. If comparing this data to your historical data, you would see a significant drop

4) What is Accredible doing moving forward?

  • We will be reverting the logic on February 3rd 2022 and renaming this data point “Unique credentials shared by anyone” to better capture the true story.
  • We will be adding tools, tips, and extensive descriptions to better explain what each data point means
  • When we provide the data point which truly represents unique credentials shared by owners, we will not remove any of your existing data points.
  • We will give you more data to work with, and extensive documentation on how to interpret it.

Recipient Engagement Page: Engagement Events|

1) What changes were made in November 2021?

  • Only count event if the user who completes the event is the credential owner (if that user is logged in).

2) Why was the logic changed in November 2021?

  • This change was made to better capture owner engagement.
3) What were the repercussions of this change?
  • This logic change resulted in inaccurate numbers due to the edge cases where the authorization token was not passed to the new tab and therefore, the user did not appear logged in despite being the owner.
4) What is Accredible doing moving forward?
  • We will be reverting the logic on February 3rd, 2022.
  • We will be adding tools, tips and extensive descriptions to better explain what each data point means
  • If any changes are made in the future, we will not remove any of your existing data points
  • We will simply give you more data to work with, and extensive documentation on how to interpret it.

  • We will align this logic to the data reported on the “Recipient Activity” page, as it was meant to be.
