Zapier Error Troubleshooting

Having trouble with your Zap? Here are some of the common problems you may encounter, and tips on how to tackle them.

Important Note: If you are attempting to use an Accredible Sandbox account in a Zap, you will need to use a separate Zapier app to connect to Accredible. Please contact support@accredible.com to be invited to this app. 

Why Aren’t My Credentials Being Published Automatically?

If you find that your credentials are being created within Accredible but are not being automatically published, there are a few things you can check.

API Settings

  1. Click on your name in the right-hand corner of the Accredible Dashboard, a drop-down menu will appear. Select 'Settings' from the menu.
  2. Select 'API Management' from the menu on the left-hand side.
  3. Tick ' Automatically publish Credentials created via the API'. 
  4. Click 'Save'. 



Zap Setup: 

1. Open the relevant Zap on Zapier.

2. Navigate to the 'Set up action' section.

3. Set the 'Publish Credential' field to True. 



Integrations Settings:

  1. Click on your name in the right-hand corner of the Accredible Dashboard, a drop-down menu will appear. Select 'Settings' from the menu.
  2. Select 'Integrations' from the menu on the left-hand side.
  3. Tick ' Automatically publish Credentials created via Zapier & the API'. 
  4. Click 'Save'. 


Why Is a Credential Being Created for Every Event in the Integrated App?

If you find that a credential is being created when you do not want it to be, check your trigger. The trigger event is what starts the Zap, and may have been inputted incorrectly or is not specific enough for what you are trying to achieve.
